Matt, thank you for trusting in us. Thank you for your service to our Country. From one Marine to another Semper Fi!
Justin Holt answers the phone, walks your property, and stands behind the work. That is the entire pitch.
Ask around Double Oak or Flower Mound about landscaping companies and you will hear a version of the same story. The quote changed once the crew was already on site. The work needed doing again a season later. Somebody started the job and then stopped answering the phone.
None of that happens because landscaping is hard. It happens because there is no accountability in a business where the person who sold you the job is not the person doing it, and neither of them is the person you can reach afterwards.
Semper Fi is built the other way round. Justin Holt owns the company, does the estimates, works on the jobs, and answers the phone. There is no layer between you and the person responsible for the outcome.
Justin Holt is a United States Marine Corps veteran. He runs Semper Fi as a family business out of Double Oak, and his kids have grown up around the equipment — which you will see in a couple of the photos further down this page, because it is genuinely part of how this business operates rather than a marketing prop.
The name is not decoration. Semper Fidelis — always faithful — is the Marine Corps motto, and the Corps runs on three values: Honor, Courage, Commitment. Translated into landscaping, that is roughly:
Drainage comes first. In North Texas clay, water is the thing that ruins everything else. Beautiful plantings on a lot that holds water are a waste of your money. If we look at your property and the real problem is grade, we will tell you that even if you called about something else.
Preparation is most of the job. The visible part of a sod install is a crew laying pallets. The part that determines whether it is still there in two years is what happened to the soil first. Same for a patio: the difference between one that lasts and one that heaves is a base you will never see.
A good estimate takes time on the property. You cannot scope a drainage job from a satellite photo, and a number given over the phone without seeing the yard is a guess wearing a suit. Justin walks it with you. It is free, and it takes as long as it takes.
You should not have to chase anybody. The single most common thing in our Google reviews is responsiveness — ten of them mention it specifically. That is a strange thing to be known for in a trade business. It should be the baseline.
Double Oak is home base. From there we cover roughly fifteen miles: Flower Mound, Highland Village, Lewisville, Denton, Argyle, and the smaller communities in between — Bartonville, Copper Canyon, Lantana. We will travel further for the right project.
A few things we will tell you up front, because you will find out anyway:
Call (469) 400-9581 and you will get Justin. Describe the problem in whatever words you have for it — nobody expects you to know whether you need a French drain or a regrade. That is the point of the visit.

You reach Justin — the owner — directly. No phone tree, no gatekeeping, no waiting on a callback.
Justin comes out, walks the property with you, and scopes the actual problem. Free, and specific to your yard.
The work gets done the way it was scoped. You pay when it’s finished and right.
Justin does the estimate himself, every time. He is also on job sites — this is not a business where the owner sells the work and disappears. For recurring lawn care you will see the same crew rather than whoever was free that morning, because consistency is most of what makes turf maintenance work.
Justin is a United States Marine Corps veteran. Semper Fidelis means always faithful, and the three values the Corps runs on — Honor, Courage, Commitment — are the ones the business runs on too. Practically, it means showing up when we said we would and telling you the truth about your yard even when the truth costs us the upsell.
Yes. Semper Fi Landscape Solutions is a registered Texas limited liability company and carries insurance. If you need a certificate for an HOA or a property manager, ask and we will send it.
You call Justin, and he answers. That sounds too simple to be a differentiator, but the most common complaint people have about the last company they hired is that nobody picked up once there was a problem. Irrigation lines get nicked, plants occasionally fail, weather does what it does. The difference is whether somebody owns it.
Yes — the Google Business Profile is public and currently sits at 5.0 stars across 30 reviews. Justin is named personally in most of them, which is either a good sign or a very elaborate coincidence.
