Nothing formal. It helps if you can point out where water collects after a storm, how long the problem has been going on, and anything you have already tried. Photos of the yard during a heavy rain are genuinely useful for drainage work, because we rarely get to see it at its worst.
For a first estimate, yes, ideally. Half the value of the visit is the conversation — what bothers you about the yard, how you actually use it, what you are hoping to spend. That is hard to do by voicemail.
Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm, Saturday 7am to 5pm, closed Sunday. Note that if you are in Argyle, the town has a zero-tolerance policy on construction hours — no work on Sundays, and cited on the first violation — so we schedule around it.
